BethAnn Russell
BethAnn Russell is a gifted artist. She has been drawing and studying art throughout elementary and high school where she grew up in Seven Lakes, NC. She attended the University of North Carolina in Greensboro in 1998 to further pursue her love of the arts, studying drawing, sculpting and pottery making. Greensboro, NC has been her home ever since. In 2001, she discovered oil painting and fell in love with it. Her paintings range from landscapes and portraits to the whimsically abstract and down right bizarre. She continues to study and create various forms of art that include everything from mixed media, jewelry making, photography, knitting, crafting, and any other skill she can learn. BethAnn loves to travel. She often finds the inspiration for her paintings from places she has visited and photographs she has taken. Her vivid imagination adds flair and drama to whatever subject she has chosen. Every work of art is ripe with passion, energy, and emotion, and over flowing with bright colors.
She has received many accolades and awards at national conventions for her work and is a nationally recognized speaker. Other interests include reading, writing poetry, photography, music of all forms and genres, public speaking and spending time with friends and family.
BethAnn's art studio is at The Creative Center (formerly known as The Greensboro School of Creativity). BethAnn opened Vandalism Studios in February 2011. She currently sells fine art, offers commissions, and makes various types of jewelry. Eventually she plans to include photography and crafts.
